OMCPC Business Profile

Occidental Mindoro Consolidated Power Corp. (OMCPC) or OccMin Power was founded on August 27, 2014, to execute the 24MW Bunker Power Plant component of the Power Sales Agreement (PSA) between Emerging Power Inc. (EPI) and Occidental Mindoro Electric Cooperative, Inc. (OMECO). The PSA was both for a 20MW Geothermal Power supply and a Bunker Power supply.

EPI, being a renewable power company, divested 100% of its shares in OMCPC and was purchased by the Banson family in 2015. OMCPC’s main office is at Suite 1003-1004, 10th Floor, Galleria Corporate Center EDSA corner Ortigas Ave., Quezon City. Its bunker power plant is located at OccMin Power Compound Sitio Pulang Lupa, Brgy. Central, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. Subsequently, OMCPC built diesel plants in Mamburao, Sablayan and San Jose, Occidental Mindoro to address the increasing demand of OMECO.

In 2021, OMCPC diversified into renewable energy and constructed a 7.4MW Solar Power Plant in Barangay San Isidro, Municipality of San Jose, Province of Occidental Mindoro.

Moving forward, OMCPC will focus its power supply in hybrid power plants.
