Marking a significant milestone in the advancement of sustainable energy solutions, Occidental Mindoro Consolidated Power Corporation (OMCPC) has successfully commenced the commissioning of two state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This innovative project, conducted in collaboration with Caterpillar engineers from the United States, aims to enhance the reliability and efficiency of power delivery in Occidental Mindoro.
The BESS units, provided by global power solutions leader Caterpillar, are designed to optimize the integration of renewable energy sources into OMCPC’s grid. With cutting-edge technology, these systems will store excess energy generated during periods of low demand and release it when the demand peaks, ensuring uninterrupted power supply for the province’s residents and businesses.
